Dog Food Varieties

PUPPY and ADULT DOG FOOD:  Recommended for all stages of a dogs life - from the growing new puppy to the older active adult of all breeds. Highly palatable and easy to digest.

The Flint River Ranch Puppy and Adult Dog Food is the best puppy food on the market. It's easy to eat and quickly digests into the puppy's system. Some feel that a growing puppy should have more fat and protein; however, recent studies support our belief that too much protein can cause problems with their future growth. Water can be mixed with the kibble for young puppies.  You can usually feed a young puppy what they want to eat for up to about one year. Keep plenty of water available. Monitor their weight as they grow and reduce the amount fed, as necessary.

All-natural, premium food is very rich and has little in useless fillers. If the puppy has a loose stool, or tends to eat grass or dirt - cooked rice or vegetables can be added to the food until the puppy's system adjusts.

SENIOR DOG FOOD:  The Senior formula, with 1/3 less protein and fat, is made from the same ingredients as our regular adult food and is oven-baked. However, because the ingredients mix to reduce fat and protein, it will generally appear lighter in color. It is best fed to very overweight or lethargic dogs. Protein is 16% minimum and fat is 8% minimum.

NUGGET - SIZE DOG FOOD: The Nugget is about 1/4" x 5/8" rectangular in shape and is designed for larger dogs. The Nugget formula is the same as the regular adult; however, it has a harder edge and will be a crustier, darker brown in color. Some pet owners like the more uniform shape; however, when it comes out of the die some of the nuggets do break into smaller pieces like the broken kibble. The Nugget food is oven baked.

LAMB/MILLET/RICE FOR FOOD-SENSITIVE DOGS:  Specifically formulated for those dogs that are allergic to wheat, corn and/or chicken. Nothing has been spared with the quality ingredients, blending, and the oven-baking manufacturing process. The production process (premium quality Lamb Meat - Menhaden Fish - Whole Ground Grains - Grapeseed oil - Flaxseed - Rosemary - Chelated Minerals - Natural Tocopherols [antioxidant], along with probiotics and digestive enzymes) synergistically provides the very finest diet for food-sensitive dogs.  

DryWater DOG FOOD:  A moist food without the can - just add hot water, stir and serve.  100% usable meal - no wasted food - no unpleasant smell - no unappetizing appearance - no dangerous metal cans - no dried-out leftovers - no smelly can disposal.

JUBILEE WAFERS:  These wafers can be used to supplement your dog's regular food or as a special treat.  They should be used as part of a complete care program as a dietary supplement.  They contain chrondroitin sulphate and glucosamine HCL, and are specially formulated for dogs to help inhibit cartilage degradation.

HEALTHY DOG BISCUIT TREATS: Healthy all-natural treats your dog will love.  No artificial colors or flavors, and contain essential vitamins and minerals. The Healthy Bone Treats are formed from a mixture of the Puppy and Adult Kibble and the Senior Kibble dog foods, and therefore have the same nutritional value as these foods.  Fat and protein content is between that of the Regular and Senior foods.  

The Peanut and Lamb flavored dog biscuit treats are intended only as treats.  They are a different formulation, and are not a balanced food.  They are the same shape and size as the healthy bone treats, but are a lighter color.

Cat Food Varieties

HIGHER PRICE FOR CAT FOOD -  Cat food is more expensive to make ... there is more meat protein in cat food and meat is a more expensive protein than grain.

CAT and KITTEN FOOD is for all breeds of cats and kittens.  It is a Chicken and Lamb Meal formula manufactured under carefully controlled conditions and temperatures, resulting in better nutrition, palatability and digestibility for your pet. The many nutrients present in the cat's food are utilized efficiently when digested. High digestibility means your pet requires less food and produces smaller, firmer stools and less clean-up.

The amino acids provided by the Chicken and Lamb Meal are the basic building blocks of muscle, skin, coat, bone, blood and the immune system. The most important ingredient in a cat's diet is protein.  The high quality Chicken Meal provides Taurine, an essential amino acid for cats, at much higher levels than the poultry by-products used in most cat foods. It is important for eyes, heart, nervous and reproductive systems.  The Fat Source has no Ethoxyquin. It is naturally preserved with Vitamin E. Fats provide energy and include essentials for cell structure, hormones, enzymes and fat soluble vitamins.

Low Ash and Magnesium are important in the prevention of Feline Urological Syndrome (FUS).   Flint River Ranch Feline Formula has less than 4.5% ash content and 0.08% of Magnesium. This promotes low urinary pH and helps prevent FUS.

Protein is 32% minimum. Fat is 20.00% minimum.

The cat food is extruded with the addition of a "baking" process to give it the crusty texture. The high meat and fat content necessary in cat food makes it extremely difficult to completely oven-bake. In addition, cats prefer the crunchy, glassy, uniform shape with pointed edges created by the extrusion method.

Providing distilled or pure water in the cat's water dish is a must if you have a concern for your kitty.

LITE SENIOR ADULT CAT FOOD is for all breeds of overweight or inactive mature cats.  Protein is 25% minimum and fat is 12% minimum.

CAT AND KITTEN HAIRBALL MANAGEMENT FORMULA - The solution to healthy and trouble-free hairball prevention for your cat!  The reception to the Feline Hairball Formula has been enormous. If you're tired of dealing with unpleasant and marginally effective hairball solutions, this is the answer.  It has the same ingredients as the regular cat and kitten food with added hairball prevention ingredients.
